Antoni de Gimbernat (1734–1790) was a Spanish surgeon and anatomist. He is accepted for laying the background for avant-garde techniques of inguinal hernia repair. He aswell declared in detail the analysis of the inguinal and femoral regions of the animal body.
The lacunar ligament is called for de Gimbernat.
